Buhari, Lai Mohammed, Shettima know where the Chibok girls are - FFK

The spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, Fem Fani-Kayode has alleged that APC Presidential candidate, Gen Buhari, Borno state Governor Kashim Shettima and APC National Publicity secretary Lai Mohammed, know where the missing Chibok girls are.

INEC extends PVC distribution..


The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has extend the deadline of the Permanent Voters Card distribution to March 22nd. The collection for the PVCs was meant to have stopped today March 8th.

At least 33 dead in Maiduguri bomb attacks


Three bombings rocked separate targets in Maiduguri, Borno State capital on Saturday, killing at least 33 people, witnesses and a local official have said.

At least 10 people are feared dead after a suicide bomber riding on a tricycle popularly known as Keke NAPEP attacked the Baga fish market in Borno state about an hour ago. More details later.

Emir of Gusau dies at 88


The Emir of Gusau in Zamfara state, Alhaji Kabir Danbaba has passed away. According to the Zamfara state Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Magaji, Alhaji Danbaba died today at a private hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.

He is survived by many wives, 37 children & many grandchildren. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

FG meets parents of abducted Chibok girls..

The Federal government this morning had a closed door meeting with parents of the over 200 missing Chibok girls in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, where they were briefed on recent efforts by the government and the Nigerian military to rescue their daughters. The girls were abducted by Boko Haram members in their school, Government Secondary School in Chibok, Bornu state on April 14th.

President Goodluck Jonathan has said that he will return to his Otuoke home in Bayelsa State, if by default, he loses the March 28 presidential election. Jonathan, who said Nigeria is not his father’s estate, was however optimistic that he “will not lose the election.” “If by default somebody wins the election, of course, I will go back to my village.
