The court dismissed a petition filed by the APC and its candidate, Eunice Sambo who were not satisfied with the outcome of the election tribunal, and headed to the Appeal Court to oppose it's decision. As the petitioner could not tender substantiate exhibits, the Judge dismissed the case.

Court of Appeal dismisses Saraki's appeal

The Abuja division of the court of Appeal has dismissed the appeal filed by senate president, Bukola Saraki challenging his trial by the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The appeal court dismissed all 5 issues raised by Saraki in the appeal. Two of the three panel of judges ruled that his appeal lacks merit. This implies that the Code of Conduct will still go ahead with Saraki's trial.

The police today arraigned a 16 year old boy in a charge of gross indecency at Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly sexually abusing a toddler. The prosecutor, Adama Musa, said Samuel Zakka of Pegi village, Kuje, Abuja reported the matter at the FCT command, Abuja on September 22.

The Registrar of Kogi State university, Dr Yakubu Abubakar released a statement today Sunday, Oct. 25, saying that 68 students of Kogi State University, Ayangba, were expelled for examination malpractice and poor academic performance. Abubakar said 19 of the affected students were expelled for various examination misconduct and 49 others withdrawn for poor academic performance.
